Told Ye

MARK:
See? Told you. I've been meaning to throw another post up for a while but you know what its like, get in from "work" (i'll return to this in a bit) and you're just not arsed because for some bizarre reason they've decided to show Waynes World again. ah the Waynes World!

Anyway, work: I have hit the jackpot on this one actually. I'm working for a company called Dixet, they deal in debit tags. "What?" I hear you cry? think paying for your cup of coffee/morning danish with a keyring that you have transfered money onto. It's basically like a debit card for small purchases. Thing is though, the geniuses at Dexit have decided to try and sell this idea to students! IN JANUARY! if you look up 'no money' in the dictionary it says "students, in January". Nobody is interested. My day consists of going to work, setting up the kiosk, and then read the paper and my book, play freecell and talk to Tim, who is my co-worker. He's great crack, from south Tipp, sounds like he's from south Dublin. Funny as hell. I've been doing this for a week and a half now and it's not gotten boring yet. I think the best I can hope for is next week though.

::: WARNING, NERD INDIE ROCK PARAGRAPH!!! :::
Gave the axe a run finally. Me, Graham, Damian and Craig (http://www.mysoftfrequency.com/) had a mess around in their rehearsal space. Its great I'm sure you're all releaved to hear. I'm heading down to Chicago in March to record the bass parts for the new Dudley Corporation album (currently being tracked in Wexford by Joss and Dudley with help from Rob Botchnik) with Kris Poulin. He's a lovely chap I met last summer while touring with Pinback, he was their live sound guy. He's a great engineer (worked on the last Jim O'Rourke album) and I can't wait to work with him. While down there I'm also going to see Slint in the Metro. Should be a weekend of imense ROCK!
::: END OF NERD PARAGRAPH :::
