our kitchen tap drips like a mad yolk. i cannot stop it. any ideas? some helpful facts for you to assess the situation:
1. i close taps, lids, bottles etc very very tight and can open said things when they are too tight too.
Ex-terracers will vouch for this. So this is not the problem.
2. the tap has a sort of shower head attachment that swivels around. it is stupid and annoying a makes it a bit hard to fill the kettle (but not enough to stop me making copious amounts of tea though not as much as the aforementioned margo of the coeliac post fame, who drank the most tea i have ever seen any time i ever met her when emma was in college, yes at least twice as much as you fiona) I am not sure of the reason for this - that is the shower head tap thing, not margo's tea drinking. this may be the problem.
3. it really needs to be stopped. Cliona arrives on saturday and she will not get a wink of sleep with this stupid drip drip drip ringing off the shiny (i scrubbed it clean on saturday, i cleaned everything on saturday) sink. She has to sleep in the living room kitchen bit of our vast palace

Isn't is something to do with washers. there are little rubber circles that are underneath the taps. I think you need to screw the taps off and replace the rubber rings, which you can buy really cheaply. Thats a boy-type thing, so Mark should know it !! I'll ask Jamie, I think he might even know !
Lads, i took apart my sink a while ago only to find that the pipe wasn't connected to anything, just sitting in another pipe. Now i know that doesn't help your situation any, but all i really wanted to say was that i liked the photo!
