Cleveland OH May 28/05

Lovely crowd here in Euclid Heights. Everyones really into the bands. Finally TDC weren’t on til 920, and that makes all the difference crowd & merch wise. Megan and her 2 friends Julia & Alison drove down from Toronto so it was cool to have them here too.

Band called Home Video joined the tour for 3 nights starting in Asbury Park, which must be odd for them. Seem like nice lads but they’re from NY so have been heading back there afterwards. The crowd are really into them, and I’m quite fond of them too – not fun like Aqueduct though! I daren’t express any liking for them in the van though such is the bile the others seem to have for their music. Tsk. So it’s just me and Victoria on the merch stall these days, as HV have only a teeny few EP’s which I’ve sold out of. There are 2 things I wonder each time we enter a new state – 1: whats the sale tax, and 2:can you smoke in bars? Well I didn’t buy anything in Cleveland so I don’t know the first, but the second – hell it’s the smokiest place on the planet, at least in the Grog Shop. This is horrible enough for me – for drying out contact lenses, making all my clothes stink, and of course general health. But Victoria is pregnant and from super healthy San Diego so I don’t know how she can stand it at all.

Kipped in with Megan’s friends. Yay for hotel’s and not very long drives the next day.
