well now. the boss is gone away for a few weeks. I was a bit nervous, having only been here a week, that I'd be all lost and not know what to do. But I've been given a big archiving project and I know what I need to do. Which is why I've spent the morning making tea and internetting. I am the only person here. It would a lot easier to motivate myself if there were even one othe staff member floating around. Well the cleaner is about, she is the slowest cleaner in the world as far as I can see, but who am I to judge considering my level of activity today. I did pop out to the post office and the bank. I might sort a bit of post, and possibly file some stuff later. It feels wrong. I should be busy, but every other worker here has said, yeah, you'll have a lot of downtime. It's a little hard to feel job security though when its like this.
Saw Batman Begins the other night, on an IMAX screen. It rocks. They should wipe the other Batman films and just make a new bunch with Christian Bale. Very disappointed with IMAX, it may be an 8 storey screen, but they letterbox the film and its only about a bungalow high then. Sound was excellent, but I'm not gonna pay $13 a film for that, There's no trailers at the start just this really wacky sequence with all these lasers shooting round the room that made me feel sick.
Saw Maria Full of Grace last night. Grimness. I don't think I'd fancy being Colombian. I'm building myself up to watch Lilya 4 Ever, which is the ultimate in grim girl films I believe. I still have Hotel Rwanda at home to watch, which is up there with the grim factor, but doesn't involve teenage girls. And Dig! aswell - I have not a clue about it's mood, but pretty messed up I'd say. Damian (i think) was going on about it so we'll give it a whirl.
okay. time to look at the bills.

well, i'm a fecker, but i won't pick on you today.
Hotel Rwanda is brilliant..sad, but good nonetheless. if you ever get the chance, you should read Romeo Dallaire's book "Shake Hands With The Devil" (he's the CDN colonel (?) whom Nick Nolte's character is partly based on).
Dig! is something i haven't seen yet, so it likely wasn't me telling you about it (beyond saying that i'd like to see it, so i think we all agree that you should lend it to me when you're done with it).
wow. long comment.
the doc of shake hands with the devil is here too. i keep seeing that book and telling mark he should buy it. its been recommended to me before aswell.
am no lending out dvd's that belong to work. (i can only keep them a few days) i might leave bringing that home for the weekend, and you can watch it in ours, or mark can go watch it in yours
The trailer for Dig! looks good although I am very bad at cinema these days, so probably won't get to see it.
we've just watched it its deadly you should go.
you're probably gone bad at the cinema because you're old now. old people don't go to the cinema much, when they do they bring double centres to make noise with.
yes, and the journey to the cinema is not great for my creaking joints. lucky i have my COOL NEW BIKE to get around!
