so we went to the beer store, which is like a giant vending machine, and the wine rack, which only seems to sell wholesale size bottles (who'd have thought I'd ever have been big-upping the LCBO) and went home and drank drink and watch Napoleon Dynamite again. I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but once again: I don't think this got an Irish cinema release, but do yourselves a favour and go out and find it, it must be in Laser. I had to fight a woman in work's 2 little boys to get this, they've been freaking hogging the dvd for 2 weeks now. Jeez.
But first I went out and drank beer on the balcony with the mosquito buzz-off candle in a bucket thing and tried to work out what the hell the rhythm on the lights at the top of the CN Tower is. Head-wreckin' that's wha'.
I got the geansai (thats sweater to you Canucks) back that I left at Beps party today. She dropped it by work for me. (that was the sitting on the pavement whacking a random keyboard photos party). She was buzzin' round town on her bike and popped in with it. I would LOVE to buzz round Toronto on a bike. Despite what the locals may think, it's a great bike city compared to what I know. A lot of streetcar (thats LUAS to you Gaelgoirs) tracks to get caught in though.
Second Cup do great cheesey scones. I'm outta control for the food. Now magazine had a special Veggie special out today. It is my mission to go to at least 20 of the top 25 veggie restaurants before I leave this city. I'd start this weekend, but I'm not sure Paula, Irene & Sheila would be too receptive to it.
Fiona's buying a car. I am the only one of my friends that cannot drive. Honestly, the only one now I think. In january, I am going to have to fund & fit in: driving lessons, pilates, dress making. These are just 3 of the classes I plan on taking. Then September 2006 I swear I will get into the NCAD year long jewellery design/metalwork course which is stupidly hard to get into. I would probably have more chance of winning the Euromillions lottery than that draw.

Don't play with fire

Jill, Napoleon Dynamite was out here ages ago, me and Paul went to see it. It is super. Vote for Pedro.
Also, a girl I went to school with did this FAS course in Jewellery making and is now happily ensconced in a studio and has been for six years, it has a very good reputation.
whats a LCBO?
heaven, except with lots more booze and less annoying saints.
sylda langford do you read the blog at all? I've been mentioning the LCBO since day 1. It's the offie, and I think it stands for the 'liquor control board of Ontario' and boy, do they control it. There's no such thing as independent off licence's here. (the vineyards have their own shops but that doesn't count)
did they strike for the holiday weekend or was widespread panic averted?
what do you have to do to improve your chances on the NCAD course or is it literally a lottery?
it is literally a lottery. there were over a hundred applicants for 12 places last time i applied. i looked at kk's link, but i don't want to do it full time just evenings.
the strike was averted.
speaking of strikes I'm glad the girls are flynig direct cos heathrow at a standstill at the mo.
