yawn

at 5 this morning i was helping mark load up the van. at 730 i was up chatting to him as he was approaching the Canada-US border, at 830 he texted me to let me know he got through grand. Next stop Chicago. He's gonna do a bit of blogging (I hope) from the road. They're not going to be playing venues quite as swanky (!) as last time so dunno about the wi-fi.

Watched My Cousin Vinny last night. Ah it made me laugh. A little contrast to Irreversible earlier in the weekend. I watched half of it, Mark watched it all. I thought in the light of day that I would go back to it, but then I thought of it as i stood in the dark car park this morning and thought 'no not just now' so it's gone back to it's place on the shelf. It's intense and I won't be recommending it.

Apparantly I've gotten my insurance money back for my back related hospital visit. I say apparantly cos mum texted me to say a letter arrived saying I have, but it hasn't appeared in my bank account yet. At bleedin last though.

Still haven't finished a Sudoku without clicking the 'how am I doing' button after every move.

Hey this AdSense guy is hot, I wonder if he's single?

i've heard that there was a very low, nearly sub-audible hum through Irreversible which, when coupled with some of the more extreme scenes, caused nausea for some folks. haven't seen it myself, not sure i want to.

there's a very distinct score. I dunno about the sub audible hum but in the scenes in the gay bar there is a head wrecking sort of warped siren sound for aaaages. The pictures alone were nearly making me puke but the audio has a big part to play too i reckon

we were talking to craig and julie about it the next day. they saw it in the cinema, where craig was one of about 6 guys to leave for a while.

don't do it kids.

yeah it was in the ifc whenever it was out - maybe 2 or 3 years ago. must be in Laser. it won't do you any good catherine it's very upsetting. i don't usually run from 'difficult' films, but this, i caved.
