yes. mark is an amp. the socket is adaptable, i can also plug a hoover in there, or a hair straightener. It needs a cover though, so he doesn't explode if he's out in the rain.
re: can you mention the war? yes. and we did. we had the very conversation where they think its funny that people think that they can't. But, when irish and english folk get together we don't generally start talking about the 1916 rising, or the foundation of the state, or even the ongoing ever-changing "situation" in the north. They don't necessarily want to talk about the war, but they're not going to keel over if you do.
