Last night I went on a mini holiday to Ireland. Sean, who I did was in college with, lives over here and is marrying Kyleh this weekend, so they were have the pre-wedding party in McVeighs. Which, for all its probable leanings towards "collecting for the boys back home", is not a bad pub at all. Some of our mutual friends had arrived over yesterday from the homeland - Miriam, Dermot, Katriona and her fella Darragh - as well as about 40 other friends and family of Sean and Kyleh's. ah it was lovely, I actually felt like I was out at home for a couple of hours. It was so great to catch up with them, and hopefully we'll be off out tonight aswell. Sean and I mutually berated each other for never calling, and to make matters worse discovered we work 2 blocks away, so we have many lunch "meetings" planned between now and me heading home. There was loads of music last night too, and either Miriam or Dermot, can't remember who, proclaimed the songs "so rebellious I don't even know them". And Kyleh's from a real musical family, so we had her dad Gerard Harrington, native of Dunshaughlin ("Up the Royals" he cried, its a pity Mark wasn't there) do a few choons too. Brother of the Eurovision winning Paul Harrington he is and looks every inch of it! So, of course I took a few snaps, but i can't do anything with them til Mark gets back! If you want to see new photos, Ella's holiday photos are up.
