It's been a while, so you're getting a mammoth post now for not complaining. You may have noticed I haven't been blogging so much. That's because I've been cheating on you. I've been seeing other websites and doing other things. I almost posted my grocery shopping list the other day, but I decided that would be a bit insulting.
1. work. They seem to be actually giving me stuff to do these days, stuff that takes up my time rather than random 10 minutes every few days. It might be because I told them I was leaving so now they're getting their moneys worth.
2. bass. I'm not very good, but I'm trying. I rrrrrooooaaaarrreeedddd at Mark earlier as he tried to show me something. See, he shows me a bit, but he plays it kinda fancy like, and then says "ignore the right hand IGNORE IT!" and i got NYYYYYAAAHHH mental at him. But I am getting a bit better
3. ebay I've been sucked in. I've had previous - very successful but brief - dalliances with it before. Now that the birthday is approaching, I'm throwing all sorts of otherwise-very-expensive-items on my credit card via paypal and then i will explain the concept of ebay to mum and sweetly ask her to pay off a bit of my visa as my 26th birthday present. After all, it's a special age. In the past 10 days I have bought: salon size dermalogica moisturiser, 2 x Victoria's Secret bra's, and....(in the last 20 minutes, drum roll please i am soooooo excited about these) the best-ass trousers ever, a pair of Rock & Republic jeans. For about a 1/3rd of a price of the same pair in Aritizia, where I have harangued the over-helpful sales assistants for the past 6 weeks going in and trying them on every now and then always leaving empty-handed with a different excuse "oooh my cheque clear's on friday", "i need to try them on with higher heels", "i just can't decide which ones". Next up is a Dior tinted moisturiser for half the Sephora cost, and a 1/3rd the BT cost. Mmm, ebay.
For those that were nostalgic / curious about the Farley's Rusk post, visit Ella's blog. I have inspired her :) even if she doesn't know it. Only 6 weeks til I'll be sharing them with her.
'Member I gave out about missing A &the J's here, with CocoRosie? Catherine (holla!) has very kindly gotten me a ticket for their December 3rd show in Whelans, so Jill's first weekend back out in Dublin is a good one already.
We have had a lovely day (except for angry bass lesson). We woke up and watched The American Astronaut, after seeing Billy Nayer Show in the Horseshoe last night. The link is that Dudley Corporation played with BNS in Arlington last month, and they rolled into Toronto last night. They also made this amazing film, which is too difficult to describe (unusual film noir space cowboy adventure dark comedy) but is so very worth seeing. Very talented men altogether. So anyhoo, saw that while chowing down on my yum home-made granola (*boast*) this morning.

Later on this afternoon we went to Elizabethtown, followed by a large feed of sushi. I do love a good nosebag nosheroo can't ya tell. Movie was, nyeh & a half, so, slightly better than just nyeh. It had the Cameron Crowe warm glow about it, and it looked lovely and the music sat really well in it and all that good stuff. But, Orlando Bloom does NOTHING for me, leaves me a bit cold really. Kirsten Dunst's sunny disposition was a bit wearing as it went on, but what she does for him near the end might be the sweetest most thoughtful thing I've ever seen. I shed a few tears, but that's cos I can't watch anyone's father die in a film (not a spoiler don't worry) just yet and not cry a little bit. I do like Kirsten Dunst though, even if she got my Jake. I think it's her teeth. She's got real teeth, good, but real.
Okay, its time to bring the buzz down with a Mike Leigh film, All or Nothing I must leave the computer to go sit with my bi-atch on the couch and watch the dvd and eat Rolo ice cream cones. It's just dawned on me that this is our 3rd film today. Almost like being back in college!

Funny you mentioned ebay. I've been browsing (unsuccessfully) recently, in preparation for the birthday season. Is it cheating if I help pay off your pay-pal as part of my b'day presie to you (or do you want me to try and think about something for you?).
Your weekend sounds better than mine, which was gym (2-class bonanza), eat, study, cinema, eat, shop, eat, study. (I feel the 2 class bonanza entitles me to eat.
ooh Jill you shouldn't have mentioned makeup on ebay. I am due a shop.
gwan kk! its practically free on there...
So I had a dream the other night that you kids made a video podcast....go on.....do it.
