mistaken identity

today i tried and failed to get my haircut at the school for haircutters because I was 3 seconds too late and there was a load of grannies waiting so it was shut early. so now it is a greasy mess because i didn't wash it, that is the hairdressers job and then I wandered round for hours and then I came home with a headache and couldn't be bothered washing it. Besides I think we are staying in with wiiiiine and watching Spinal Tap. Mark is making a parsnip, aubergine & cashew biryani, and no pressure but it looks like it might be the nicest dinner ever made. My hair needs a cut very badly it looks a bit like Toyah Wilcox (the 80's one, I just looked her website and her hair is grand now) now I will have to wait another week and get up early again. Its funny weather out cos its only about 13 when you go out in the morning but when you come back in the afternoon its 24 and the boots and jumper you have on are too warm. I met a skater boy in the lift on my way back from an emergency garlic buying expedition a while ago and he made me take out my earphones so he could ask if I go to OCAD? I said no I just live here. Canucks and astute former visitors will know that's the fancy art school beside our apartment block. I wish I could say that it was my sophisticated look and an aura of a cultured woman that prompted the question but I think it was my pink boots, red skirt, green tshirt, navy jumper and pigtails. Art student, or pre-school children's tv presenter.

speaking of children, it's Ella's 1st birthday on tuesday. :( I miss Ella, but it won't be long now. Beside Ma is great at regaling me with tales of babysitting. God bless cheap Skype, cos she doesn't skimp on details...

Mark said to relay that he had his first proper rock with his new guitar last night and it rules. I stayed in and watched an episode of The Shield, and then Dirty Pretty Things, which was really great. Now I am going to watch Spinal Tap, which needs no link and no further explanation other that it is as long as it takes to make a biryani.

Have never seen Spinal Tap, but have seen Dirty Pretty Things which I would agree is great.

Mal is making me watch Twin Peaks at the moment, I'm not too impressed so far, but have agreed to watch the whole of the first series. I do like Kyle MacLachlan though.

Does Twin Peaks date badly Katherine? I never saw it because I in Germeny for the crucial first series so there never seemed any point after that...

Yeah it does seem kinda dated. It reminds me of Dallas a lot. The big hair and all.
