this is not about people

things i got into in the past year that are not necessarily canadian/ discovered for the first time/ will miss greatly

- Baseball MLB, Basketball NBA
- extra firm tofu, pocky sticks, Spaghetti squash
- Chinatown
- The end of lots of shows I started watching and have been on already at home or have not.
- Blogging / blogs
- Cheap bountiful every type of food from anywhere
- Crisp blue skied winter mornings with crunchy snow up to your knees. love this
- Gloves AND glove liners.
- Learning to cook more stuff and inheriting a great veggie cookbook which I will inflict recipes on to my friends/family
- Ebay
-Bonnet Bras!
- Chai lattes – could possibly replace tea as my favourite hot beverage. Except that it’s a)about 10 times more expensive, and b)probably fattening.
- Table service & food in pubs. Variety of beers
- Working from 930-430
- Pilates
- No bangers through doors or car-bonfires in the time leading up to Halloween
- Regis & Kelly
-3 trips to NY in one year

things that I am going back to

I’m not going to list the negative crap about Ireland here, because its my country, where I’m from, where I’m going back to. And dammit I love it. But this list is pretty short
- Tayto sangwitches, Govindas on Aungier St.
-books that don't cost a fortune
- Pints
- Going to the bar to get served
- No Joey. I will be sad when I get home and Joey is not there
- Cosmo & Muttley – previously their presence suspiciously absent from correspondence, signed my birthday card though, so must be alive still. Did hear barking from M while on phone to Lisa a few weeks ago that sounded like ‘miss you rurff Jill’. He must know he has to step into the role of Jill’s fave pet on planet now that our little Josephina the marmalade meow is departed

so there you go. a bit of a random list and not exactly exhaustive. may be subject to editing. feel free to remind of what i'm missing on either list

Sorry Jill, but Govindas closed down.

Oh sorry no, I wish it would close down.

Oh, I reckon Home and Away should be added.

what did govinda's ever do to you!? and no way am i adding home and away. it is mental.

i just had my last ever burrito boyz for lunch. goodness it is the best ever.

ttc is miles better than dublin bus/luas/dart i suppose, the fact that one fare gets you all your transfers is reason enough.

I think the food in Govindas tastes like puke.

Home and Away is only massive!

A little giddy, excuse me..

We have a blizzard warning & forecasts of the coldest winter in x yrs so you might get your snow.

Proper tea
talking about the weather
pretending 1 degree C is cold
Proper dogs that don't wear clothes or shoes
Cutie nieces who just love to cuddle

Pocky Sticks: Chinese Food Co
Ebay: Ebay.ie
Blogs: the internet
Hope that makes you feel better. I am nonetheless aware that the only real reason you pair are returning to us is because your visas are running out.
You can always visit Canadia after yer Icelandic stopover next June.
