the one where they're really indecisive

Last night, at the behest of Ma Jordan we presented ourselves at a large department store to pick out even more apartment stuff. (if you can ever get Mark's parents as your landlords, do! well i say that now on day 3 anyway) So, left to our own devices - and in the full knowledge there was potential for major parental exploitation - we were to be found half an hour later rooted to the spot in the kitchen accessories section with armfuls of salt and pepper mills. Manual ones, electric ones, chrome ones, perspex(?) acrylic ones, giant wooden restaurant ones (that made me pretend I was the tiny Dennis Waterman character from Little Britain)... On that point, I think this gaff is secretly designed to make me feel midgety. There's switches and vents and shelves that I have to jump to reach. Lisa, Emma, you'd have no chance. Anyway we got the sum total of one small bin and settled on a set of salt and pepper mills - which I think were worth the extensive deliberation. We are after all of the rock salt and peppercorns generation and can't just be doing with table salt and powdery pepper.

i'll start working on some sort of ultra-salt for his irish trip so. I think its contained in a galtee rasher. There is no vegetarian version...
