thwarted sleep

goodness, i almost forgot this one, because we thought we'd dreamt it when we woke up this morning...

I'm bleedin knackered this week, its a combination of 8am starts in work, walking to and/or from work in 30+ degrees and mucho humidity. Had a nice lil bob about in the pool when I got in from another sweaty day yesterday though.

So there I was all tired out, i was even all be-nightdressed & be-teeth brushed by 1030 and asleep on the couch. Mark wouldn't let me go to bed early, he wanted me to stay up and watch The Daily Show with him, which isn't even over til 1130, but it's so damn good, its always thwarts my early night ideas. Apparantly my slumped snoring presence on the couch equates to staying up, but whatever, I was asleep at 1030 and that was good enough for me. By osmosis he got sleepy too, so I got to actually go to bed mega-early 11pm. (cue emma - thats halfway through my nights sleep)

My ambassador you are spoiling us with your 8 hours sleep! Whats that? The fire alarm. Ah it'll stop in a sec. Any second now. Mark. Mark.

zzzZZZzz

MARK! its not stopping. We should get up.

So yeah, at 2am friday morning, we're sitting outside on St. Patrick St. with about 9 other people. Having walked down the 10 stories figuring you're not supposed to take the lift in these situations. Whats wrong with this picture? Well there's about 100 apartments in our building. I don't care if there was no fire they had to have been awake, the bell is piercing roaring ear splitting loud. C'mon I didn't want to get up either and wear combats and a nightdress and my glasses upside down and stand on the street. If I did, I'd carry a cap to collect quarters too. What is wrong with these people? Their bad. And their loss. (*insert hose joke here*)4 units of the fire brigade in full rig-out screeching up for me to ogle at. I'd say I was so sexy with my bed head and sticky sleep eyes behind the upside down glasses. Thought I was great I did, saying goodnight all nice to them.

So it was a false alarm, and a bit of a non-story. But you gotta take it where you can get it. I've watched 3 hours of 'What Not To Wear/While You Were Out double-cross' (don't ask) tonight so I really can't give you anything better.

I bought rosemary, basil and chive plants yesterday. hang on I'll take a snap...

For those who take umbrage with the odd bit of girliness on this site: newsflash, I am a laaaaady! I even painted my nails pale pink tonight, and it seems its official - Im building up a tan. I heart Canada for it has seasons. Mark gone to Guelph tonight to play a gig, big 'Mound fans in Guelph there are. Excuse that last line read like Yoda'd taken over, but I'll leave it. Reason I couldn't go? I had a 2nd interview this evening. I start monday.
